In the old working class district, Vesterbro , you will find hip cafés, designer shops, as well as the iconic Carlsberg brewery with its beautiful architecture. Vesterbro also houses Copenhagen's own meat-packing district, which has now become a trend-site for new food markets, informal eateries and modern bars.
In the areas around Nørrebro , the old is combined with the new, known, dear Danish traditions with a number of international cultures. Here you can expect the unexpected. Nørrebro offers artistic and multicultural street art, beautiful lakes, cool bars, and the historic Assistens cemetery.
Many of the city's most popular attractions are in the city center such as Tivoli Gardens, Amalienborg Castle, the home of the Danish Queen, the old river port, Nyhavn, Strøget and much more.
Near the center you will find the Christianshavn district , which consists of old, narrow canals. Here you'll also find the free city of Christiania, near the contrasting Islands Brygge with modern buildings, Copenhagen harbor bath and much more.
Østerbro is the quiet and elegant part of the city. Here you will find one of Copenhagen's most beautiful parks, several embassies, The Little Mermaid. The district offers the most perfect setting for a great afternoon stroll.
Just off Østerbro, on the boardwalk you will find Nordhavn , where DFDS 'ships sail from and to. From the terminal you can easily visit the part of the city you want.
