Visit some of Copenhagen's nicest cafes

After strolling around the streets of Copenhagen, it can be good to sit down and just enjoy the big city atmosphere. You can enjoy a coffee while you watch the city stove from one of the many nice little cafes. Copenhagen has it all!

Up in the air

Enjoy the view of Copenhagen while enjoying a cafe. If you want to get up high, Tårnet - the tower at the top of Christiansborg Castle is the place. Here they have their own restaurant serving Danish dishes and delicious cakes.

Original Coffee is also recommended. This cafe is located on top of Illums and has two terraces facing east and south respectively, so here are good opportunities to enjoy the sun, a cup of coffee and the city's roof.

The exciting ones

We visiting Arrebo on Nørrebro. They practice "no laptops or tablets" and offer comfort with their simple decor. Enjoy a delicious breakfast - outside, or inside.

In a lovely house at Strøget, you`ll find Royal Smushi. This café combines Danish design and Danish food, so here you can enjoy mini sandwiches in beautiful surroundings.

The cosy cafes

Behind the shop of the same name, the cafe Beau Marché is located in Ny Østergade. This is a little hidden gem. The cafe is characterized by an intimate, cozy and French atmosphere and is the perfect lunch spot.

Another cozy place is the Kafferiet. This is perhaps the smallest cafe in the world, and is located in a tiny house near by the Esplanaden. Here they offer a selection of delicious sweets, bagels and nice coffee.

If you love muffins, you should head to Serenity Cupcakes in Grønnegade. This sweet little café offers muffins of all colors and flavors.

Something for everyone

The food court, Torvehallerne, at Nørreport are simply a must when in Copenhagen! With its over 80 stands, you can find something for everyone. You`ll find vegetables, fresh fish, organic products, spices, coffee and much more - and a lot of possibilities to eat and drink!

We recommend the delicious crispy pizza at Gorm's, the lovely porridge at the CROWD or the macaroons at Sweet Valentine. Yum!

Even if you are not hungry, this is a great place to stop by, just to experience the atmosphere and look at everything they have to offer. And you should not overlook the fact that you will feel hunger quite fast.
