EUROPEAN MOTORCYCLING EVENTS
Europe is an amazing landscape to take your motorbike, with outstanding scenery and lengthy roads to make the trip of a lifetime. There’s also plenty of events on for motorcyclists, from the French Grand Prix to religious festivals. It’s a fantastic example of European diversity.

February & April
Belgium takes the reigns in the motorcycling community in February with the Moto Retro Wieze. It’s the largest vintage bike jumble in the country and is fantastic for anyone looking to pick up a classic motorbike.
April means it’s Holland’s turn to host the World Superbike Championship on the TT Assen Circuit. The circuit is 4.5km long and will challenge riders with 18 corners. The John Bull Rally will also be taking place in Passendale, Belgium, an event ideal for vintage bike fans.Taking place not far from Ypres, this rally is a haven for retro bike lovers. It’s just 1 hour from our Dunkirk port and is organised by the BSA Owners Club Belgium.
May & June
As it becomes late spring and the sun is really beginning to shine, France and Spain will be hosting their respective__ Motorcycling Grand Prix events__ in May. The Coupes Moto Légende, one of the largest classic motorcycling events in Europe, will be taking place just outside Dijon. The Grand Prix de France takes place annually over a weekend in May at the Le Mans Bugatti Grand Prix race circuit. Spanish leg of the Moto GP is hosted in the Circuito de Jerez in Jerez.
June sees France’s most hipster biking event: Wheels and Waves, a combination of motorcycling and surfing. There’s also the Dutch Moto GP on the famous TT Assen Circuit as well as a Les Motards ont du Coeur, 90 mile charity event in France. Chopper Bash focussed on vintage bikes and choppers and takes place in Flanders, Belgium. MC Piston Cantabria Tour in Cantabria, Spain, is open to all motorcycles and runs through the mountains and near the coastline.
July & August
Summer is officially here, and with July comes the German Moto GP and BMW Motorrad event in Germany, both huge events attracting bikers from across the globe. Belgium will be hosting a Bikers’ Classic, classic bikes event, as well as a Classic Bikes Chimay, a street racing event in Chimay.
With the warm weather, there’s motorcycling events across the continent in August. France, Holland, Belgium and Germany are all taking part. Germany will be hosting the World Superbike Championship just North of Dresden. Oude Klepper Parade in De Haan, Belgium, takes you across the Dutch low lying lands over the course of around 7 hours. Holland hosts the Hengelo Rally, the oldest motorcycle rally in the Netherlands. Madone des Motards takes place in the small town of Porcaro in France.
September & October
With only one major motorcycling event in September, the season quietens down before livening back up in October. However, the international endurance competition Bol d’Or in the heart of Provence in France is not one to be missed. Official shops from Yamaha, BMW and more will be there to showcase their products and accessories.
October sees two World Superbike Championships take place, one in Magny-Cours, France and another in Jerez, Spain. There is also the__ British Superbike Championship__ in Holland, demonstrating Europe’s prominence in the motorcycling community.
