DFDS increases frequency for customers between Rotterdam and Humberside

To improve frequency and scheduling, that meets the demand for earlier arrivals into the UK from freight ferry customers, DFDS has entered into a Space Charter Agreement (SCA) with CldN.

Hollandia Seaways

Each party to the agreement contributes with one freight ferry. All commercial activities will remain entirely under the control of each operator.

The number of sailings between Rotterdam and Humberside will increase by 6 sailings per week each direction Sunday to Friday.

The schedule provides options for utilising trucking capacity better as the earlier 05:00 arrival will enable some drivers to make two trips per day and therefore contribute to mitigate driver shortages.

DFDS’ additional sailings will call at the DFDS Rotterdam/Vlaardingen Terminal and at the C.Ro Terminal in Killingholme. This will also relieve any congestion at DFDS’ port terminal in Immingham.

The SCA and the additional sailings will be introduced with effect from 11 January 2022.
